Leviticus 23:17 says “You shall bring in from your dwelling places two loaves of bread for a wave offering….” The two loaves would be lifted high, one in each hand and waved as arms were crossed in the air. This wave offering of the two loaves is represented in Pentecost where the two groups….Jews and Gentiles were brought together!
The feasts and festivals of the Bible are filled with types and symbols that point to the Messiah. The connections between Shavuot and Pentecost are obvious and exciting. Here are some parallels.
At Shavuot/Pentecost Moses acted as an intercessor between God and His covenanted people. As we recall Yeshua/Jesus' book of ACTS 'Pentecost' blessing, we see that Yeshua had already intervened on behalf of the world At Mt. Sinai as the fire descended only on the summit of the mountain. With Moses Fire came to rest on each individually. In this way God established His covenant with the Hebrew people.
Whereas God’s covenant was made available on this feast day to all who believed The Holy Law was inscribed on stone by the finger of God and that He would now dwell 'WITH' Them, ..... The Holy Spirit noted 50 days after Passover on the day known as Pentecost wrote the Law on their hearts as the HOLY SPIRIT of our LOTD would now be 'IN them.
On 'Shavu'ot/Feast of Weeks at Mt. Sinai 3,000 were killed due to their disobedience of the Golden Calf sin. In Jerusalem 3000 were granted salvation in return for their faith. On Shavuot at Sinai, we see God declared the Israelites as His chosen nation of priests, and in the ACTS Pentecost Believers became priests to all the nations !
This explains one covenant grafted into the first. We celebrate the common anniversary of our receiving God’s revelation at both at Mt. Sinai at Jerusalem.
Let us use this feast to make a public commitment, just as the people of Israel did, that "we will do and we will listen" as Jewish and Non-Jewish Believers gather and usher in the age ONE NEW MAN

Behar-Bechukotai: Blessed Is the One Who Trusts in the Lord
In Torah, the distinctions between physical and spiritual are not so clear. The whole physical world is spiritual because God created it. The physical world was created out of the spiritual, and the spiritual is inherently present in all physical form and action. Therefore, in Jewish thought, it is a false dichotomy to separate the physical from the spiritual.
From Moses’ point of view, receiving adequate rainfall, peace, and prosperity was a spiritual blessing. Just because it is measurable in physical terms does not diminish its spiritual significance. It is a gift from God, and God is spirit.
This line of thought did not sit well with the early church fathers. Many of them regarded it as a “carnal” and “Jewish” way of thinking that blurred the line between spiritual and physical realities. They chose to interpret the Scriptures “spiritually,” meaning that things like the curses and blessings were merely metaphors for spiritual rewards and punishments. They took it even further and taught that God did not want His people to literally, physically obey the commandments of the Torah. Instead, the physical commandments of the Torah were symbolic of spiritual disciplines and hidden truths. ..... HuH ? .... we;ll talk on this !
