This past June 13th marked the 100th Birthday of one of Maine & New Hampshire’s most endeared Church Pastors, …
Reverend Dr. Wilbert D Gough was greeted by close to 200 stalwart Christian Pastors, Leaders and past Congregants from throughout these United States when honored through a ' United' effort by God's Greater Church and the Birthday Blessing bestowed through First Parish Church of York, Maine.' When what to his wisdom filled eyes would appear,.. but generations of Disciples from throughout his legacy of Pastoral years .'
Seemingly as spry and certainly as wise as He’s ever been Pastor Gough has been an invaluable Pastor, Teacher, and Mentor to thousands of New England Congregants and Church Leaders whom have sought formal ministry training such as myself and many, many more. Furthermore, our very KINGDOM UNIFYING REVIVAL EVENT stems from my dear Mentor's burning desire to become involved in yet ONE MORE ! KINGDOM REVIVAL EVENT. ‘ Forever His Servant ‘ !!!
Although our humble Inter-Church Ministry initiatives have all thus far been self funded endeavors, Step With Christ Ministries is most excited to ' Carry On ' the unique legacy of Reverend Dr. Gough's Disciplining work through structuring our UNITED in MESSIAH Conference and Revival Rally as a working fundraiser for a Student Theological Training Scholarship. We pray this Scholarship will play out as an annual Ministry Initiative in the name of Discipleship and Reverend Gough’s Lifetime of Kingdom Work & Discipling.
Pastor Gough is a published author, having written the most excellent book entitled “Life Isn’t’ Fair but God Is”, which adorns many a Pastoral library including that of our dear friend, Reverend Dr. Franklin Graham. This book is a wonderful compilation of select Sermons drawn from Pastors 75 plus years in the pulpit. ‘ A PowerHouse of Christ-Centered, Savoir Glorifying Sermons which incite the ‘Joy of Jesus’ widely across the Christian Denominational spectrum and beyond ! ‘
Pastor Gough has a Dual Doctorate from Eastern Baptist Seminary as well as graduate degrees from Temple University School of Theology, and Burton Theological Seminary.
In addition to many high level International Leadership Conferences with the likes of Pastor Billy Graham, Zola Levitt and many others. He has served as Pastor of the following Seacoast Churches: First Christian Church of Kittery Point, First Baptist Church of Hampton NH, First Baptist Church of Kittery, First Baptist Church of Brentwood, Trinity United Church of Seabrook, Middle St Baptist Church of Portsmouth, and York St Baptist Church of York.
