As we light the 8th candle of our Hanukkiahs this evening, we can't help but ask ourselves if HaShem is speaking to us through the current Hamas/Israel war, the spiraling morality of the world, the Anti-Israel Anti-God rhetoric of this world against the Hanukkah backdrop ?
During times of Chaos, Struggle, and a seemingly Godless world, how may of us actually turn to the many 'LEFE LESSONS' suffered by our Jewish brethren throughout Scripture ?
How easily we forget about the Sons of Isschar whom 'knew' what to do in such cases, as they tested all things through scripture. This sounds like sound advice in our world seemingly
VOID of TRUTH !
With the close of Hanukkah, Israel is well into it's 3rd month of war and in a prophetically saturated situation. Hundreds of passages from the Torah to the Psalms and the Prophets seem to be speaking very explicitly about the current situation of Israel's war against this 'Hamas Terror Group' !
Whether it's Psalm 64, which speaks of enemies who ' shoot from concealed places at the innocent ', and 'hold fast to their purpose', or perhaps Solomon's Prayer to Adonai in 1 Kings 8,
where he mentions 'those taken captive into the land of the enemy',
....... these passages and more suddenly become very real in
a truly disconcerting way.
Friends, the Signs and Times leading up to the Maccabean Revolt when the 'Anti-Christ' foreshadowing of Antiochus Epiphanies 'Cxl. Culture' 'One World Religion' aren't so unlike the current Jew and God hatred displayed in much of the world today.
Hanukkah, as the majority of folks don't realize, presents a preview
of the end-time events, the godless spirit that will envelop the world,
and very importantly the strategies for Christian endurance
more than any other biblical holiday.
(And it is a biblical holiday on which Yeshua/Jesus made some
very revealing statements about Himself and His Kingdom)
The Signs and Times of the world situation leading to the first Hanukkah
are foreshadowing of the Anti-Christ, the abomination that causes desolation,
the calling of Evil Good and Good Evil, the removing of G-D from
the public square, the banning of Adonai's word,
sexual immorality, and the persecution of believers.
It also reveals the strategy that end-time believers need to know
to overcome the current world delusion.
When a new Antiochus will arise, as foretold by Daniel,
he will greatly trouble Israel again, as he will the
grafted branches also !
WAKEY, WAKEY FOLKS
BUT !, ... it is the promise of Yeshua our Messiah and King
who WILL deliver His people.
Yeshua/Jesus celebrated the Hanukkah victory because
it was a picture of a greater deliverance to come.
The 'Greater Maccabee', Yeshua, will return to save
the Remnant of Israel out of the hands of the oppressor,
thus fulfilling the prophecy of (Jer. 31:31-40).
And as Paul said, ... 'For if their (Israel) rejection means the
reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance
mean but Life from Death'.
(Yes, ALL Israel will be saved !)
(Indeed, what a day that will be !)
In the meantime, we are to persevere in Prayer and Supplication
as the 'Hasidei Yeshua', ... the pious ones of Yeshua,
who STAND FIRM in FAITHFULNESS to the Ways of Adonai
and who do NOT compromise !
Great movements of salvation don't necessarily look impressive,
but when the times get difficult,
THE ONES WHO SHINE ARE REVEALED.
STAND IN THE GLOW OF HIS GLORY.
LET THE LIGHT of RIGHTEOUSNESS EMINATE
AT THIS DARK HOUR.
