 In this portion, we have the instruction regarding the vow of the Nazarite (נָזִיר) Nazir #5139 separated, consecrated, an untrimmed vine

there are three examples of a Nazarite to which we can look. First Samson, who was to be a Nazarite from birth, in Judges 13 and we can see how Samson fails to fulfill the vows imposed on him by the LORD. The second Samuel kept his vows imposed on him by his mother, Hannah in Samuel 1:11. Thirdly we have Absolem David’s son who took the vows of a Nazarite for political, purely selfish reasons (2 Samuel 14:25 and 15:7)
