An 'ELECTION of KINGDOM CRITICAL NATURE' !

An Election 'SEASON' of 'Church 'UNITY'

The Cornerstone Pastors & Leaders Network, in existence as such for the past two and a half years, is becoming The Church Ambassador Network of NH.

Still every bit an integral part of Cornerstone, the Church Ambassador Network name emphasizes the high calling of church leaders with regards to government leaders:

"Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God."
2 Corinthians 5.20 ESV

The larger passage from 2 Corinthians, with its emphasis on the ministry of reconciliation, speaks to what is needed so desperately in these times of great national divide. Only the people of God have a tool powerful enough to affect real reconciliation between God and man, and between man and man: the gospel of Jesus Christ.

By connecting the leaders of the Church with the leaders of Government, we aim to create the requisite relational space for those government leaders to encounter God in real ways, and for the Church and the Civil Government--both institutions validated by God--to find common good solutions for the culture's biggest pain points.

More to come. But for a sneak peak, view this presentation:

Emergency Order #66
Status of Places of Worship

Quietly on Mon 8/31, Governor Sununu issued Emergency Order #66, which simply extends through October 1st the Safer At Home 2.0 provisions of Emergency Order #52, Schedule B, which provided guidelines for Places of Worship.

What does this mean? No change from August.

Churches should still...
  • Follow the essentials of the Universal Guidelines
  • Maintain 50% capacity during worship services
  • Ensure social distancing within the building
  • And because of the "100-person Mask Mandate" (Emergency Order #63, still in effect as far as we can determine), churches not able to provide for social distancing in groups of 100 or more must ensure that masks are worn by attendees throughout the service; otherwise, masks are required just upon entry and exit
Remember that children's and youth religious education programming and Sunday school are now permitted. The Safer at Home 2.0 Places of Worship guidance reflects this by having simply eliminated the subparagraph that formerly prohibited it (previously 18.b).

Contact the Governor to respectfully let him know your thoughts on Emergency Order #66, Emergency Order #63, or Emergency Order #52 Schedule B.

Sowing Seeds of Stability
IN THESE UNSTABLE TIMES

How are we to behave in these times, when so many seem to be losing their minds? Does the Bible have anything to say about our longings for better times, easier times, simpler times?

Those who sow with tears
will reap with songs of joy.
Those who go out weeping,
    carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy,
    carrying sheaves with them.
Psalm 126.5-6, ESV
